What could be better than donuts or craft beer? How about unusual donuts PAIRED with unique craft beers? That’s what The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey and The Fractured Prune Doughnuts of Lancaster will do at a special Father’s Day event this Sunday, June 15th.
Ever had a French Toast donut topped with bacon and powdered sugar? How about a Banana Cream Pie or Salted Caramel donut? These are the types of donuts that will be paired with The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey’s craft beers and wines for “Dads. Drinks. Donuts.,” which runs 12-5 on Father’s Day. Paired beverages will range from Sap Sucker – a Maple Porter, to The DeCider – a Caramel Peanut Butter Hard Cider. The event, which features live music from 1-4, costs just $5/person.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with The Fractured Prune on this event,” said “Merlot Mike” Wilson of The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey. “We view The Fractured Prune as the craft rogue agent of donuts, which is what we are to wine and beer. We’re excited to get as crazy and unusual with our pairings as possible, and The Fractured Prune has the same mindset we do with taking it to the next level. We’re like mad scientists with our products, and we’re ready to form an ‘eat and drink local’ super-group here. The guests are in for a great time.”
