  1. Beer was never my drink. I hated it…until I tried a Yuengling when I was about 32. The first time I had it, I thought “now this isn’t so bad.” Almost a year later, I had a Dogfish Head 90 minute and I was hooked on good craft brew forever! Now, 4 years later, my fiance and I try a different craft beer every Friday and write about it. Read for yourself at beerfridaybycng.wordpress.com.

    • Can’t wait to check out your site! It’s amazing how one can go from hating all beer to loving it and reviewing it. Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. A boy. I had always wanted to try, but I am super sensitive to bitterness and my past experience of bad beer always had me defaulting to whiskey and cola. It wasn’t until I found myself with a boy who enjoyed craft beer, that I could use his knowledge (and my feminine wiles) and learn the terms and keywords of what I liked or wanted to avoid.

    • I have a feeling that this is a common story, and I know that had a lot to do with my conversion. Thanks so much for sharing!

  3. After college, my 2nd job was catering at ABC in Harrisburg. And then after that I started working at a local restaurant that was known for lots of taps and craft beer. I got a free beer at the end of every shift, and why drink Miller Lite ( pretty much my go-to beer back then) if the more expensive stuff was just as free?

Beer happiness ensued…and what I considered super bitter and gross back then is happiness in a pint now.

    • I love listening to people talk about how their tastes have changed. Thanks so much for sharing your story with us!
