So far in this challenge I’ve had 2 fruit beers, and here’s a third. I know, I said I would branch out and try beer styles that I don’t normally try, but all of these delicious beers that I know I’ll love keep coming out that I just can’t resist drinking. I promise I’ll try harder going forward, I mean it!
But honestly, how could I not drink a pineapple brew? I was visiting Al’s of Hampden/Pizza Boy Brewing on my day off checking out the local brewer’s collaboration brew (which will get a post all its own once its ready) and saw Alan from Boneshire Brew Works in line in front of me carrying this big mug of delicious looking beer. A big mug of pineapple tastiness? I was immediately in!
I really enjoyed this brew. It’s medium bodied, low carbed, and a hazy straw color. It smells and tastes like pineapple, but is nicely balanced. It doesn’t attack your mouth the way raw pineapple does, but at the same time it’s not pushed too sweet either. It’s lovely and well-balanced and if it’s your cup of tea you can throw a bunch back at only 5% ABV. Personally, it’s a one and done kind of beer, but I’d like to try it in the summer poolside to see if that changes my opinion.
