Craft Beer On A Budget

Craft Beer At A Discount RocksWho doesn’t love saving money? In this economy, we have to make our hard earned dollars stretch a little more and sometimes cut back on the “fun things” we love to indulge in, like quality craft beer.

But good beer doesn’t have to cost you your whole week’s paycheck. There are a ton of places in Central Pennsylvania that cut us a break when it comes to how much we pay for a pint. And I give those establishments a big thumbs up!

The list could be quite long when you consider bars and breweries from Carlisle to Lancaster, York to Harrisburg. It’s best to check the website, Facebook page or Twitter profile of a bar/restaurant to see what deals they offer and the fine print that goes along with the deal. Sometimes there are restrictions that apply like specific times for happy hour, dollar amount discounted, excluded beverages or brands, etc.

Here are my favorite spots that I frequent to save some cash.

Happy Hour: Monday – Friday from 5pm to 7pm, select drafts are 50% off.

BYOB Saves Money, Too
In addition to happy hour deals, it’s a big money saver if you search out restaurants that are BYOB. I often take a growler of home brew or a 22oz bomber bottle of something. Fusion Fire Asian Restaurant in Camp Hill is hands down my favorite place to bring my own brew. Cafe Magnolia in Camp Hill is also BYOB and in the summer they have a cozy deck open for outdoor eating. Another delicious eatery with outdoor seating and is BYOB: Hellenic Kouzina in Mechanicsburg.
