Beer Review-Debutante

Debutante is a collaboration between Maryland locals Stillwater Artisanal Ales and Brewers Art.  It was very amber and a little more carbonation then I generally tend to prefer personally, but then again I’m not the kind of girl who gets a kick from champagne (nor will I ever be confused for a debutante). The taste was hoppy, a little citrus, with a very sweet finish. Once this beer warmed up a little, I found it very enjoyable and I think this would go well with spicy foods. Not a favorite but very drinkable and with an ABV of 6.4% i’ts not likely to make you ruin your reputation.

  1. I went to a Stillwater tap takeover in Philly back in late December. They do make some interesting beers. Don’t think I had this one, but their Saison was pretty darn tasty.

As a side note, I got into a mini IMDB dispute because of the Brewer’s name. I said that Stillwater was the name of the band in Almost Famous. Of course. I was correct, cause useless knowledge is my specialty. Heh

  2. Good for you Mr. G-Lo Bet Winner! I have the same kind of brain. I can remember every song Ive heard since I was five. But not that I needed milk until Ive already been to the grocery and back…. and try and to put some in my cereal : P

Cheers to fun facts and useless information

    • My memory is good for useless tidbits and numbers, i.e. account numbers, phone numbers, prices. They occasionally call me Rain Man at work because I rattle off some really obscure number sequences. Weird.
